Key facts about Brusov State University (Armenia)
- Brusov State University (BSU) is a leading institution of higher education in Armenia. Founded in 1935, BSU initially trained educators. Over time, the university has evolved to meet the changing needs of society and the labour market. It has modernised its traditional areas of study, including foreign languages, and introduced new specialisations in social sciences, such as journalism, public relations, translation, political science, and more.
- BSU has also laid the foundation for foreign language teaching methodology and its practical application in Armenia. The university has consistently expanded its professional disciplines throughout its existence. It currently offers more than 25 educational programmes and the largest selection of language courses, with about 18 foreign languages taught here.
- Over the years, the university has graduated more than 60,000 students. Currently, the university has over 4,300 students, including more than 100 international students.
- The university collaborates with 85 prominent universities, educational centres, and international organisations across over 25 countries, implementing diverse educational, scientific, and exchange programmes.
